a. History of Institute, its Logo.

Vidyasagar Industrial Training Centre, Haldia is affiliated to Director General of Employment and Training, Ministry of Labour, Govt. of India, State Council of Technical Education and State Council of Vocational Education & Training, Govt. of West Bengal.It was established in 1998 in the name of Vidyasagar Vocational Training Institute under Haldia Service Society. The major objective of this Institute is to educate and train the passout H.S., Maddhyamak or equivalent and dropout after class VIII students so as to ensure steady flow of skilled manpower in different trades for the domestic industries as also to raise qualitatively industrial production by systematic training, to reduce unemployment among these educated youth by providing them employable training to cater to the supply of properly trained manpower to the industries in and around Haldia. Further the employees who are working in the factories having skill and do not have proper Certificates are offered few Industry oriented courses to enhance their qualifications for their future growth.
